Summer League 2007
Thursday Intermediate/Advanced League
Registration Deadline: June 15th
  • End of year party for all participants
  • Trophies for league champion
  • $5 discount on one league for participants who play in both leagues
Central Region Championships When: Thursday Nights starting June 21st
Where: Milwaukee County Sports Complex
Cost: $35 ($30 for students and Milwaukee Ultimate Club members)

Games will be played 7 on 7 with at least 3 persons of each gender and the offense deciding the 7 players gender. The league directors may change the ratio of males to females depending on the ratio of registered players for the league.

Field Rules:
No carry-ins allowed (alcohol).


Milwaukee Ultimate Club Rules:
All players must sign a waiver BEFORE they play
All players must pay BEFORE they play, if a player plays without paying his/her team will forfeit their game.
All players must play within the spirit of the game, gross violations of this rule may result in the player being removed from their team.

Ultimate Rules:
We will abide by the 11th edition rules of ultimate set forth by the Ultimate Players association (www.upa.org) with the following modifications:
Games will be played to 15
Time Cap: Time cap begins 1.5 hours after the scheduled start of the game.
At the time cap finish the point you are on, if the game is tied play one more point to decide the winner. Time cap may be called earlier at the discretion of both captains of the playing teams or the league directors due to the onset of darkness.
Brick Mark: 15 yards.

Registration Rules:
Registration rules have changed from previous Milwaukee Ultimate Club leagues. Please review the below changes that include the implementation of a ringer rule as well as allowing larger groups of individuals to sign up.

Ringer Rule:
In order to keep the teams playing in the Team/Buddy Signup league of somewhat equal competitive levels a rule to limit the number of higher level players per team will be in effect.
A ringer is considered any player who has played at the Regional level in the Club UPA championship series in the Mixed, Open, or Women’s division or has played at the National level in the College or Master’s Division.
No more than 3 male ringers and 3 female ringers will be allowed on a given roster, and no more than 3 ringers will be allowed to play on the field during any given point.

Sign-up Options:
Players may sign up as individuals, with a buddy, with a group of buddies, or as a team.
Individual Signup:
Players are encouraged to sign-up as individuals players who sign up as individuals will be placed on a team with other individual registrants or with buddy groups with an effort made to keep the teams as equal as possible.

Buddy Sign-up:
Sign-up with a buddy! - when registering each buddy must list their buddy on the registration form.

Group Sign-up:
A group of four buddies may sign-up to play on the same team with no more than two members of each gender. For example:2 males and 2 females may sign-up together, 2 males and 1 female, 2 females and 1 male. Buddy Groups will be placed on a team with other buddy groups or with individual registrants with an effort made to keep the teams as equal as possible.To sign-up with buddies, please designate one buddy as the primary contact person and have all other buddies list that person as their buddy on the registration form.

Team Sign-up:
Players may sign up as a team as long as the team contains at least 4 players of each gender and a total of at least 12 players. To sign as a team a designated captain must submit a roster to the league directors. Then all players must individually register listing the captain as their buddy. A team is not considered registered until the number and gender of registered players fulfills the rule listed above. Teams also must abide by the ringer rule listed above.

Selection Format:
Teams will be selected by the league organizers with an effort made to keep all teams equal. Complete teams that sign-up will play together; however, depending on the number of registrations, players may be added to the team. Teams that are not complete at the close of the sign-up period may be split apart at the discretion of the league directors to keep the league teams as equal as possible.
